The Wild River is a 17.2-mile-long river in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Maine, USA. It originates at Black Mountain in Jackson, New Hampshire, flows northeast through a mountain valley between the Carter-Moriah and Baldface-Royce ranges, and joins the Androscoggin River near Gilead, Maine. The river runs through wild, scenic areas and was once the site of the Hastings Lumber Company. Today, it is known for its natural beauty and fishing opportunities.
