The Tsolum River is a short river on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Its mainstem is approximately 40 kilometers long, draining the north side of Mount Washington and the floodplain from Courtenay to Black Creek. It joins the Puntledge River to form the Courtenay River near the City of Courtenay.
The Tsolum River Watershed contains Wolf Lake, Regan Lake, Blue Grouse Lake and Helldiver Lake. Notable tributaries of the Tsolum include Murex Creek, Headquarters Creek, Dove Creek and Portuguese Creek. The Tsolum Watershed is the traditional land of the people of the Kʼómoks First Nation.
The Tsolum river is licensed for domestic and irrigation water supply. It is also a site for recreation, including fishing and swimming. Historically, the Tsolum supported significant fish populations, including steelhead and rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and coho, pink and chum salmon, although such populations have declined to near zero.
