Middle Fork Stones River

The Middle Fork Stones River is a tributary of the Stones River in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Approximately 20 miles (32 km) long, it rises near Hoovers Gap in an area of low hills close to the Bedford County line and flows northward, roughly parallel to Interstate 24. It joins the West Fork Stones River south of Murfreesboro and forms part of the larger Cumberland River watershed. The river supports diverse aquatic life and is popular for recreational fishing, particularly for species such as largemouth bass and spotted bass.
