Selway River

The Selway River winds roughly 100 miles through the pristine Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness of north-central Idaho, rising in the Bitterroot Mountains and joining the Middle Fork Clearwater River. Its course cuts through steep canyons, ancient forests of fir, pine and cedar, and crystal-clear waters largely free of roads in the wilderness stretches, ranking among America’s most original Wild and Scenic Rivers.
