Rivermap EN West Branch Rocky River
The West Branch Rocky River is a approximately 40-mile-long tributary in northern Ohio that originates in Montville Township, Medina County. It flows northward through rural and suburban landscapes before converging with the East Branch Rocky River in the area between Cleveland and North Olmsted to form the main stem of the Rocky River. This river ultimately empties into Lake Erie between Lakewood and Rocky River. The West Branch is part of the larger Rocky River watershed, known for its scenic valleys, shale cliffs, floodplain forests, and recreational opportunities such as fishing, kayaking, and hiking within the Cleveland Metroparks reservations.
