Tollense

The Tollense is a small river about 68 km long in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in northeastern Germany. It flows from Tollensesee Lake near Neubrandenburg and joins the Peene River at Demmin. The meandering river runs through a largely natural, sometimes narrow valley with scenic banks and meadows. It is known for its tranquil, secluded landscape and as the site of a major Bronze Age battle.
