Doe River

The Doe River, a scenic tributary of the Watauga River in northeastern Tennessee, flows from the slopes of Roan Mountain through picturesque valleys and gorges before joining the Watauga near Elizabethton. Particularly popular for recreational activities, it offers excellent trout fishing for rainbow, brown, and brook trout along much of its course.
