Murderkill River

The Murderkill River is a river on the East Coast of the United States. It stretches through the state of Delaware and empties into Delaware Bay. The name "Murderkill" has an interesting origin and probably comes from the Dutch name "Moordkille", which means something like "murder stream". This name goes back to the time of European settlement when Dutch settlers explored the area. The river flows through a picturesque landscape of wetlands, forests and agricultural land.
