Saginaw River

The Saginaw River is a major river in the U.S. state of Michigan. It flows approximately 22 miles (35 km) from the confluence of the Tittabawassee and Shiawassee Rivers near Midland southward through the city of Saginaw before emptying into Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. Historically significant for lumber and industrial shipping in the 19th and 20th centuries, the river today serves as an important waterway for recreation, commercial navigation, and ecological restoration efforts.
