River Tweed

The River Tweed is a scenic 97-mile (156 km) river that rises at Tweed's Well in the Lowther Hills near Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders and flows generally eastward through the beautiful Border region. It passes historic towns and landscapes such as Melrose, Kelso, and Coldstream, where it forms part of the border between Scotland and England for several miles, before entering the North Sea at Berwick-upon-Tweed. The river is a paradise for leisure activities, particularly renowned for its world-class salmon and trout fly fishing, which attracts anglers from around the globe.
