Polesski-Kanal / Полеский Калан

The Polessky Canal (Полеский канал) is a picturesque historic waterway in the Polessky District of Kaliningrad Oblast, connecting the lower Pregolya River with the Nemunas system. Running through the flat, water-rich landscape often called “Little Venice” of northern Sambia, it offers perfect conditions for relaxed, nature-oriented leisure activities.In summer the canal attracts anglers in large numbers: from the banks or small boats, roach, bream, tench, pike and zander are regularly caught – including some impressive specimens.
