Jordan River (Columbia River)

The Jordan River rises in the steep slopes of the Monashee Mountains northwest of Revelstoke and flows southward through narrow, forested valleys before joining the Columbia River. Its clear, snowmelt-fed waters and dramatic mountain scenery make it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. It is especially popular with whitewater kayakers who enjoy challenging Class II to IV+ sections featuring drops, slides and boulder gardens, often just minutes from town.
