Cooper River (Cle Elum River)

The Cooper River winds through the Cascades in Kittitas County Washington, feeding alpine Cooper Lake before joining the Cle Elum River as a tributary. Framed by old-growth conifer forest and steep slopes, its clear mountain waters invite relaxed riverside hiking, trout fishing, whitewater kayaking, plus swimming and paddling at the lake.
